You should know — there's spoilers for Netflix's The Adam Project in here!
I just saw The Adam Project and wanted to share my thoughts on the ships and the movie in general.
So usually when I watch this type of movie I try to figure out how the time travel works in it and the logic applies. Adam explains that the memories don't reconcile until after he's left, so I assumed that meant no changes were carried through to the future as long as anyone "out of time".
As you might expect, that did not turn out to be the case. The time travel works at the plot's convenience! When Young Maya was shot, Sorian vanished instantly — she had to, it was a cool plot moment! Except… By that same logic, when time travel was destroyed, Adam should also have vanished instantly, except he didn't. Of course, this is just for plot convenience… Still, though!
I also won't speak about how the bullet instantly turned when other metal objects traveling at much lower velocities were still hanging around.
All in all, it's about what you'd expect from a Ryan Reynolds movie. Just some quirky with guns and jokes, and no real substance.
It was very funny when they made a Deadpool reference in a Ryan Reynolds movie. Nice.
The starships were interesting in design, but not very good looking. The models were quite ordinary and boring. However, the CGI and sets were quite cool. The wormholes looked great, and so did the sets. The cloaking effects looked quite fantastic, both on the ships and the soldiers.
I don't have much more to say. Like I said before, it's about what you can expect from a Ryan Reynolds movie. 6.5/10
